A career of solving environmental problems around the world led D.R. Schneider to create Bwana Doc.  An author of numerous technical papers and books, he also taught at the University of Texas at Austin for 25 years.  When not working as an executive in environmental biotechnology, he is an avid scuba diver, lover of all things involving water and a viticulture and oenology enthusiast. He lives in the Austin area with his wife Z and dogs Daisy and Hemingway, the Mexican Cocker Spaniel, and the cat, Obie Wan.
