Considering President Obama recently bungled it up in San Francisco by ordering soup from a Chinese restaurant that serves shark fin soup…the release of Stopping the Shark Finners a Bwana Doc Adventure is eerily timely. As leader of our country and one who signed legislation banning shark fin soup one must walk the walk and not just talk the talk...whether appearing as President of our country or campaigning...it is his ultimate responsibility to be aware of where he shops or stops. Shark finning should be illegal everywhere and that includes Chinatown USA.

This 2nd action adventure of Bwana Doc is again about modern day swashbucklers, well intentioned bungling environmentalists, piracy, and covert operations! This is another fun read for all ages. Schneider shares the history of shark fin soup, geography lessons for those of us who have trouble keeping up with country name changes, and educates the reader with adventure and excitement about the atrocities of shark finning and the wrongs against them by humanity. Definitely a good buy as a present for the "kid" (grown up or not) in all of us. I look forward to the next Bwana Doc Adventure to see what other environmental wrong Bwana Doc will take on.
